Which reminds me, why haven’t we gotten a new Gamera movie?! Gamera: Little Braves wasn’t that bad. The RevolTech Joint feature (or Revoltech) is an innovative joint system that allows figure to demonstrate any kind of realistic pose. I have a couple of vinyl Bandai Gameras, but they aren’t cutting it. As the sci-fi toy market in Japan rapidly expanded, Takara used the Combat Joe design to produce a transparent figure filled with mechanical cyborg parts called Henshin Cyborg. It seems everything is either 60’s Gamera or 1999 Gamera. I really liked the design on the 1995 Gamera.

Plus that Microman one is more 1996 Gamera. Come on Revoltech, be my savior! Be the savior of children all over! Unfortunately I hear these Microman costume figures aren’t very poseable because of the way the rubber suit works. Thus far the closest thing to a really poseable 1995 style Gamera is this Microman one. His jaw, shoulders, elbows, waist (yes, there is a waist in there), thighs, knees, and ankles are all Revolver joints. I just recently passed on a good one and now I feel remorse about that. Gamera uses the classic Revoltech joints. I really need a good 1995 style Gamera figure. This news broke a couple months back, but I haven’t heard anything since. So on the figures I’m really anticipating news, there is supposed to be a Gamera Revoltech figure on the way.
